About the Town Council
Olney Town Council comprises of 15 Councillors who are elected
every four years. The next election is on Thursday May 1st 2008.
A Parish Councillor must be aged 18 years or over, be a British Subject,
a citizen of the Irish Republic or a citizen of a member state of the
European Union and be a local government elector of the parish. He/she
must live in the parish or within a 3 mile radius, or during the same
period had his/her principal or only place of work in that area.
The main Council meeting takes place on the first Monday of each month
(except August).
The Annual Town Meeting will take place on Friday 25th April 2008
at 7.30 p.m.

Finance
Members of the public
can attend all meetings. There is a 15 minute Open
Forum at the beginning of the meeting when members of the public are
invited to address the Council.
