About the Town Council

Olney Town Council comprises of 15 Councillors who are elected every four years.

A Parish Councillor must be aged 18 years or over, be a British Subject, a citizen of the Irish Republic or a citizen of a member state of the European Union and be a local government elector of the parish. He/she must live in the parish or within a 3 mile radius, or during the same period had his/her principal or only place of work in that area.

The main Council meeting takes place on the first Monday of each month.

Planning Liaison
Olney Centre Management
Dickens of a Christmas
Finance

Members of the public can attend all meetings.   There is a 15 minute Open Forum at the beginning of the meeting when members of the public are invited to address the Council.
